José is a modest man in his forties, who has a job as a government employee and, apart from being the amateur goal scorer of Juventud Unida Fútbol Club, he hasn’t done much with his life. He’s been ill for a long time but he keeps it in secret. He’s going through a hard time: his club is about to be relegated to a lower category, his coach doesn’t take him into account anymore and his wife asks him to have a child. His friends are sit in the sub’s bench with him, almost suspended in time. His doctor prevented him from playing football since his life is at risk. Nevertheless, José decides to turn the last match in his club into a farewell to him and his friends, doing his outmost to win.
